WELtec-Biogaspark in Könnern now Online
The biogas park in Könnern, Saxony-Anhalt, has been feeding biomethane into the public natural gas network since September 21st. The construction work started in July 2008 and was completed according to schedule, allowing the park to be commissioned punctually.

IRENA Director General meets with UN Secretary General
Hélène Pelosse, Director General of the recently established International Renewable Energy Agency IRENA, met with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. At the meeting during Climate Week in New York, Hélène Pelosse introduced IRENA and together with Mr. Ban explored future fields of co-operation between IRENA and UN bodies.

WELtec BioPower Builds First Biogas Plant in Finland
Vechta-based WELtec BioPower GmbH received an order for the establishment of a biogas plant from a Finnish farmer who will produce biogas in cooperation with a waste disposal provider. The 600-kW plant will be erected in Niittylahti in south-east Finland.
Easier infusion with Nidaplast composites
Nidaplast composites make infusion easier and less expensive with a customizable, ready-to-use product called ROVIpan. The new product was presented to manufacturers from the wind energy sector during the Wind Power Expo in Saragossa that took place 22-24 September 2009.
New developments in wind technology
