The countdown to All-Energy ’09 – the UK’s largest renewable energy exhibition and conference – has begun. The event will kick of on May 20th in Aberdeen.
European livestock show goes green
Sommet de l’Elevage, the leading business meeting for European livestock breeders, will be held from 7 to 9 October 2009 in Clermont-Ferrand (in central France). For the first time at the event, there will be a pavilion focusing on renewable energies.
DuPont Opens New Photovoltaic Technical Center in China
DuPont opened a photovoltaic (PV) technical center at its China global R&D Center in Shanghai to support material developments for the fast growing crystalline silicon photovoltaic solar energy market. DuPont expects to nearly triple its annual photovoltaic sales to more than $1 billion in 2012.
Solar powered air conditioning system
DuCool launches the DuHybrid air-conditioning system which is powered by solar thermal energy or electricity to reduce the energy required for cooling by up to 60 percent compared to standard air conditioning.
1000 Megawatt from renewable sources
A group of major corporate energy buyers announced that they have reached their collective goal of purchasing 1,000 megawatts of new, cost-competitive power generated from renewable-energy sources – enough power to displace a large coal-fired power plant.
