MWM shipped 15 gas gensets to Bangladesh

With its 15 large gas gensets, the natural gas-powered plant in Ashugong, Bangladesh, will generate a total of 60 MWel, all of which will be fed into the public grid.

National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) developed a process both for the production of algaefuels as for cheap clearing of sewage with the use of space travel technology. This is done by letting the algae grow in plastic containers filled with sewage.

Breakthrough bio-ethanol production from agricultural waste

By incorporating one bacterium-gene in yeast, researchers from the TU Delft have realized three important improvements in the production of bio-ethanol from agricultural waste: more ethanol, less acetic acid and the elimination of the side product glycerol.

Isobutene, building block for tranportation fuel

Global Bioenergies, located on the Genopole campus close to Paris, has today announced the proof-of-concept of a synthetic metabolic pathway for producing isobutene, a key building block that can be converted into transportation fuels, polymers and various commodity chemicals.
